Terms of Service — Project Vertical Staff Status Bot
Last updated: 25 January 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Project Vertical Staff Status Bot (“Bot”), operated by Project Vertical (“we”, “us”, “our”). By adding, using, or interacting with the Bot in any Discord server, you agree to these Terms.
1) What the Bot does
The Bot is an internal operations tool designed to help Project Vertical staff manage creator operations. Features may include:
Updating Discord channel names with operational status metrics (e.g., “To Take”, “Last Ran”, “New Creators Today”).
Reading and writing limited data to a Google Sheet used by Project Vertical (via Google OAuth).
Accessing TikTok LIVE Backstage pages using an authenticated session state (to read non-public dashboard info relevant to staff workflows).
Posting violation notifications into a designated Discord channel.
2) Eligibility and authorised use
The Bot is intended for Project Vertical staff servers and authorised staff members only.
You must have the necessary permissions in the Discord server to add and use the Bot.
You agree not to use the Bot for unlawful, abusive, or unauthorised purposes.
3) Acceptable use
You must not:
Attempt to reverse engineer, tamper with, exploit, disrupt, or overload the Bot.
Use the Bot to harass, spam, or send unauthorised notifications.
Use the Bot to access TikTok LIVE Backstage, Google Sheets, or other resources without authorisation.
Share login/session materials (such as storage state files or OAuth tokens) outside authorised staff.
4) Data accuracy and operational limitations
The Bot relies on third-party services (Discord, Google, TikTok). Availability and data accuracy may vary.
We do not guarantee that the Bot will always be available, uninterrupted, timely, or error-free.
Bot outputs (counts, labels, alerts) are informational and should be verified where necessary.
5) Third-party services
The Bot integrates with:
Discord (server actions and messages)
Google Sheets (via OAuth)
TikTok LIVE Backstage (via authenticated browser session state)
Your use of the Bot also requires compliance with the relevant third-party terms and policies.
6) Permissions
By adding and using the Bot, you grant it permission to:
View and manage channel names (rename specific configured channels).
Post messages/embeds in configured channels.
Read and write limited data to configured Google Sheets.
Access configured TikTok LIVE Backstage URLs using authorised session state.
7) Intellectual property
The Bot, its code, branding, and related materials are owned by Project Vertical (or its licensors). You may not copy, sell, sublicense, or redistribute the Bot or its code without written permission.
8) Termination
We may suspend or discontinue the Bot (in whole or in part) at any time, including for maintenance, security, or policy reasons. We may revoke access if we believe you have violated these Terms.
9) Disclaimer of warranties
The Bot is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement.
10) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Project Vertical will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits/data/reputation, arising from or related to your use of the Bot.
11) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. Continued use of the Bot after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
12) Contact
For questions about these Terms or Bot access, contact Project Vertical staff leadership via your internal Discord channels.
